SolarEdge Systems
SolarEdge was the first to successfully commercialize power optimizers, a device that offers module-level maximum power point tracking (MPPT), before feeding back the electricity generated into a central inverter. Their central inverters have a standard 12 year warranty, and typically fail after about 13 years. All SolarCal systems using SolarEdge include an extended, 25 year warranty. When your inverter eventually does fail, you will receive a brand new one.
Power Optimizers
The Power Optimizer is a DC/DC converter which is connected by installers to each solar module, turning them into smart modules. Optimizers increase energy output from PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each module individually, and sending performance data to the monitoring platform for cost-effective module-level maintenance.
Each Power Optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC™ feature, which automatically reduces modules' DC voltage to a safe level whenever the inverter or grid power is shut down (unless the inverter is operating in backup mode).
Optimizers mitigate module mismatch-loss from manufacturing tolerance, partial shading, and aging. They deliver up to 99.5% peak efficiency.

HD-Wave Inverter
Because Maximum Power Point Tracking and voltage management are handled separately for each solar module by the Power Optimizer, the single phase inverter is only responsible for DC to AC inversion. Consequently, it is a simpler, more cost effective, more reliable solar inverter. The fixed string voltage ensures operation at the highest efficiency at all times independent of string length and temperature.

Energy Hub Inverter
